How do I apply for water service?
It is M.C.B.P.U. policy that customers applying for water service shall complete a Water Service Contract and submit it to the system with a $50.00 non refundable service charge. Renters will need to complete a Water Service Contract and submit it to the system with a $100.00 deposit and a $50.00 non refundable service charge. (Click here for application form)

Payment Types
For your convenience, this bill may be paid in person at our office, by return mail, or at the afterhour's night deposit. If paying on or before the 20th, this bill may be paid at the following banks: CB&S, First Farmers, First State, or First Commerce Bank.

In person, at the office. MCBPU offers the convenience of a drive-thru window and a night deposit.

Our office accepts cash, checks, and money orders. Checks are payable to MCBPU. Please do not send cash via mail.

We DO NOT accept credit cards, debit cards, or payments by phone.

Automatic Bank Draft
MCBPU does not charge a fee for this service. To sign up print the Automatic Bank Draft form. (Click here for draft form). Date and sign the form. Mail the Bank Draft form along with a voided check to:

Once the form is received and processed, your account will then be automatically drafted on your scheduled due date each month. You will still receive a bill letting you know how much will be drafted from your account on the due date. Make sure that your statement says "MEMO DO NOT PAY". This will ensure that everything has been processed.

If you currently use an online bank, please allow at least five to seven business days for your payment to reach our office through the mail.

What if I forget to pay?
To maintain a good credit rating, you should pay your bill before disconnection. If the bill remains unpaid 10 days after the dross amount due date, services will be disconnected without any further notice. An applicable re-connection fee must be paid before service is restored. We do not like to shut off service to our customers, but if your account remains unpaid, we will have no other alternative.

Returned Check
A $20.00 check fee is charged for all returned checks. You will be notified via mail, phone, or door hangers. Cash or money order will be required to pay for returned check within 48 hours of notification.

Payment Arrangements
Payment arrangements can be made in the office before disconnection date.
No final notice will be sent. Failure to receive bill does not relieve consumer of payment and penalty.

Disconnection
Your water will be disconnected if you fail to pay your bill. If you want your water disconnected for any other reason, please contact M.C.B.P.U. either by phone or in person during normal business hours.

Reinstatement (after disconnection)
Once service has been disconnected due to non-payment, the full balance (plus any service charges) must be paid before service can be reinstated. (i.e. A $40.00 reconnect fee if paid by 2:00 p.m. If account remains unpaid after 2.00 p.m. there will be an additional $45.00 after hours fee charged.) The full balance must be paid before service can be reinstated.
